Lower helm, letting the autopilot do the work |
One step up, there is the lower helm with a settee across from the helm. The head (bathroom) consists of a toilet, sink/counter area and a full separate shower.
Computer rendering of a PDQ 34 |
The exterior of the boat has a spacious foredeck and wide side decks which lead aft to steps down to the water at the end of each pontoon. Steps lead up to the flybridge which has the upper helm and perimeter seating.
At anchor in the Bahamas |
Transportation while anchored is provided by a 9' 6" rigid hull inflatable with a 9.9 horsepower outboard motor.
This dinghy rests high and dry on aft davits while underway.
The PDQ 34 is an excellent "coastal cruiser," with economic operation for slow cruising but with the capability of faster speed when needed. She is not a "passagemaker," not designed for extended open water, ocean passages, limited primarily by fuel capacity.
